All you Illustrator fans might be interested to see an article over on Real World Illustrator where a former product manager for Illustrator took some time and wrote up some responses to the top Illustrator gripes.

I would GLADLY post more detailed requests, but you are limiting our posts to 200 characters. Why??????? Seems VERY counter-productive to me.

@BeePee: The character limit was implemented for a couple reasons. I think it helps keep people focused when griping and forces people to be concise. It also helps preserve the original spirit of Dear Adobe considering that it all started with short, snarky comments on instant messenger. With that in mind, we want to keep gripes short and quick; something that you can easily decide if you agree or disagree with.

Unfortunately then I would expect Adobe to be unable to properly respond to many of the gripes posted here (as evidences by the unofficial responses to the AI gripes, and the lack of responses to many of the others). And we already know that they do not personally respond to anything left at the bug report page.
Perhaps retain a limit, to keep folks from posting a novella, but maybe increase it to 500 or 1000?
