I like that they aren’t linked by default, but the option would be nice. Layer masks can now stay linked to Smart Objects while moving/transforming the objects. Sorry that it took a while. How could Layer Styles be better? – I want to change the useless defaults of red stroke, yellow glow, global light shadow that I accidently change later etc. Make it like in InDesign: When nothing is opened and I could enter the Layer Style menu and change the defaults, from then on they are always the same. When a document is opened, only the active layer is changed. Or just throw in a menu to set it up in the Layers Panel. 3. Selecting Multiple Layers – Same for Channels and Paths please (why not doing all three at a time?) and make it possible to affect all selected layers (ie change opacity, blending mode etc. for all selected layers at once) 5. The New Screen Mode – Everybody in their right mind hates the screen mode and John Nack said it will be gone for CS4. For the future, ask us if we want something and make it possible to turn it off.# 7. History Brush – The History Panel, like all other Panels, should be scrollable with the mouse wheel and the Snapshot should not scroll with the rest, so you can always see it. If there is more than one Snapshot, they get their own scrollbar and are scrollable with the mouse wheel. 8. Layer Opacity – Yes it should be possible to change them all at one time. Many people (retouchers, artists) use the shortcut for their Brushes and other Tools, so it should stay that way or be possible to set it to "always affect Layer Opacity" in the Preferences.
